Non-woven fabrics are a new type of textile made by randomly bonding fibers through chemical or physical methods. They have a wide range of applications. Common types of non-woven fabrics include:
1. Melt-blown non-woven fabrics, made from polymers such as polypropylene and spun through high-speed hot airflow, have a pore size of 0.3-0.4 nm and are suitable for high-efficiency filtration materials;
2. Hot-air non-woven fabrics, made from polyester or nylon and melted at high temperatures, are soft and fluffy and are commonly used in hygiene products;
3. Wet-laid non-woven fabrics, produced through a wet papermaking process, have uniform fiber distribution and are suitable for precision cleaning materials;
4. Needle-punched non-woven fabrics, reinforced by mechanical needle punching, offer high strength (tensile strength ≥ 50N/5cm) and are commonly used in geotextiles and filter materials.
